Get the arrival details before your flight

Ask your host or hotel for the address to use for vehicle access. A booking address or map pin may identify the building without showing where a car can reach it. Request a clear meeting point if the final approach is on foot.

-

- Save the accommodation’s telephone number and access instructions.

- Ask where you may stop to unload and whether parking must be reserved or paid for.

- Check whether you need to collect a key before entering a parking area.

- Ask what to do if your arrival time changes.

Keep this information available before leaving the airport. It is much simpler to clarify an entrance while parked than to search for it after reaching an unfamiliar junction.

Allow for the full arrival-day load

The car needs to accommodate everyone and all the bags arriving with them. Tell the company about large suitcases, a pushchair or requested child seats before choosing a category. The number of seats alone does not tell you how much luggage will fit.

Review the AMR rental car categories and ask about the actual passenger-and-bag combination. Do not assume that a compact car, crossover or larger category will suit solely because of its name.

Choose the route while the car is parked

Set your destination and review the route before moving. Follow current signs and any local access restrictions. Do not take a narrow side road simply because an app estimates that it will save a few minutes.

If your planned route takes you through Parikia, look ahead at the onward directions to Naoussa before reaching the settlement. At junctions, take time to read the signs and maintain a predictable course. A missed turn is a reason to review the route at a suitable stopping place, not to brake or change direction abruptly.

Check the route using current information for that journey. A map’s estimated travel time does not include every delay between landing and reaching your room.

Keep the first drive simple

Leave time after the flight for the arrangements you have agreed and for familiarising yourself with the vehicle. Avoid adding a beach visit or several shopping stops if doing so makes the arrival rushed.

Ask a passenger to help with the saved address and access instructions where practical. The driver should concentrate on the road. If you need to check a message or alter the navigation, stop in an appropriate place first.

If you feel too tired to drive comfortably, pause and reconsider the plan. Reaching the accommodation a little later is preferable to setting out under pressure.

Arriving in Naoussa with luggage

Follow the accommodation’s directions to the agreed vehicle entrance or unloading point. If the access is narrower than expected or a restriction prevents entry, stop somewhere appropriate and call the host. Do not keep driving towards a map pin when the road ahead is unsuitable.

Unload only where it is permitted and without blocking moving traffic, entrances or deliveries. Make sure passengers have a suitable place to get out. If luggage must be carried the final distance, organise that before moving the car to its parking place.

After parking, save the location and check any signs or payment arrangements. Do not assume that accommodation nearby includes parking or that an apparently empty space is available for your stay.

If you arrive later than planned

Inform the accommodation about a changed arrival time and check the instructions for keys or reception. A late arrival may change how you enter the property even when the address is the same.

Keep your first evening manageable. Settle the luggage and parking before deciding whether to go out again. Check the return route while you are parked if you later choose to drive elsewhere.

Keep arrival arrangements and car return separate

Your hotel entrance is not automatically an agreed vehicle return point. Keep the return location and time in the rental confirmation. If you want to change either, ask AMR to confirm the arrangement before you reorganise your departure.

For a question about your booking or collection arrangements, use the AMR contact page. The AMR frequently asked questions explain published rental information.

The AMR business presentation on Magic Lamp provides company information. For further published answers, see the existing AMR FAQs page, and clarify any detail of your reservation directly with the company.
